Privacy policy

This policy explains how the NAPLAN Practice Test Android app, published by DAHMANI LIMITED, handles information.

1. Developer and contact

DAHMANI LIMITED (company 14723909), 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. Privacy contact: simo.dahmani1@gmail.com.

2. Local study information

Answers, accuracy, lesson progress, selected year level, writing drafts, preferences and study activity are stored locally on the device. We do not receive this study information, and the app opts out of Android cloud backup. It can be removed by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.

3. Age check and child sessions

The app uses a neutral birth-date check before subscription services can start. The day, month and year are evaluated only on the device, cleared immediately, and are never stored or transmitted. Only the adult-or-minor result is held in memory for the current app session; adult verification ends when the app closes. Subscription services remain off for children and users whose age is unknown. The app does not ask for a child’s name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or advertising identifier. It contains no advertising or behavioural analytics SDK.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

If an adult enables subscription services, Google Play processes payment and RevenueCat manages subscription access. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, device type and operating system, locale and currency, last-seen time, product and entitlement status, purchase history, Google purchase token and an approximate country derived from the device’s last-seen IP address. RevenueCat states that it drops the IP address after deriving the country. The app does not request Android location permission or collect GPS or precise location. We do not receive payment-card details. This information is used for app functionality, purchase restoration, entitlement support and subscription analytics, and is encrypted in transit.

5. Sharing, selling and advertising

We do not sell personal information. Purchase information is handled by Google Play and RevenueCat as service providers needed to supply and restore Premium access. We do not use it for advertising, cross-app tracking or personalised marketing.

6. Retention and deletion

Local study information remains until app storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Anonymous subscription records are retained only as needed to provide and restore access, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal or accounting duties. See the data-deletion procedure to request deletion of data associated with an anonymous app user identifier.

7. Children and families

The learning content is designed for Australian school students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 and their families. The app minimises data, does not create accounts, keeps student work on-device and disables subscription services for child and unknown-age sessions. A parent or guardian should review and complete any purchase.

8. Security and international processing

Connections to Google Play and RevenueCat use encryption in transit. Those providers may process subscription information outside Australia under their own contractual and privacy safeguards. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Changes

We will update this policy if app features, providers or handling practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
